We hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday and got to experience lots of warmth and joy over break. Thank you to everyone who joined us for our winter solstice celebration on 12/19, that was some crazy cookie fun. The kids love to have fun outdoors and on the sledding hill. Thank you very much for continuing to send your children with appropriate winter gear and a water bottle. (Insulated boots, jacket, snow pants, hats and mittens are essential.) Keeping warm is all about layers that can come off and on. I recommend a neck warmer for an extra defense against the wind. Kids have been doing a great job of tracking all this gear. (Honest. It might not feel that way to you, but I have been doing this a long time, and this is much better than other years.) The most annoying item is the pair of indoor shoes to keep kids safe from sock sliding inside. It is actually a regulation. And I like to keep the floors clean too. Sometimes the shoe problem is our fault. If you pick up a little early and your child is still in their boots, their shoes might be at the door and not in their backpack yet. Please help us double check. Friday Program seems to be off to a great start! We enjoy receiving those who return to tell us their tales.
