In 1998, Apple Tree Learning Centers established one of the first year-round private childcare and preschool facilities in Stowe, Vermont. Childcare and preschool was at the foundation of our original programming.
Over the years, we have expanded our offerings for children and families who live in the Stowe area, as well as vacationers and visitors to Stowe. Today, Apple Tree Learning Centers offers one of the most comprehensive programs for kids 12 years and younger in the area.
APPLE TREE TIMELINE
- 1998 – Founded as Stowe Kids Company
- 2001 – Name changed to Apple Tree Learning Centers, opened a Kindergarten and after school program
- 2002 – Created a new infant center and launched Apple Tree Discovery, programming for school-aged children
- 2005 – Summer Camp was started, as well as partnerships with hotels to offer programming to visitors
- 2009 – Apple Tree Learning Centers was NAEYC Accredited
