Acorn Preschool Summer Camp (Week One)

Description: Week One Welcome Summer! Welcome to our first week of summer! Join us as we explore all the fun things this summer has in store for us. We will have fun with arts and crafts, explore by going on some walks, and enjoy outdoor play/ activities, all while meeting some new faces of the summer. Field Trips: All field trips are pre-planned, and while I do my best to ensure that they happen as planned and on planned days, there may be times when we have to move some trips around if scheduling conflicts arise for the business. In the event of this happening, families will be notified, and we will have another plan set in place with a new date for the pre-planned trip (if available). Field Trips will happen 2 times a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays because we are limited to 13 children on field trip days. There will be a separate "Field Trip" sign-up each week, located on the Apple Tree website. On field trip days, please send your child in with a "cold lunch" option. This means nothing that will require being warmed up. Tuesday: Stowe Playground Thursday: Fire Station Daily Essentials: The essentials listed below are not optional. We want our campers to get the most out of their days while being safe and comfortable. Water Bottle (labeled with name) Sunscreen (labeled with name) Bug Spray Extra Set of weather-appropriate clothes (underwear included) Rain Gear Bathing Suit & Towel Swim Diapers (If your child is not potty trained, swim diapers are required to participate in any water play) Inhalers/ Epi- Pens/ Medications (if needed) (all must be in original packaging with doctors instructions) Back Pack Food: We do not offer meals; therefore, families are required to supply their child with meals from home as follows: Morning Snack- 2 choices (one being a healthier choice) Lunch- 3 choices (one being a healthier choice) Afternoon Snack- 2 Choices (one being a healthier choice) You know your child's eating habits better than we do, so if your child is likely to be hungrier, please pack extra options. -Please keep in mind that your children are running around and on the go throughout the day. This often leaves children with a bigger appetite and more likely to ask for more food after their regular choices are finished.
