How has all this time slipped away?!! Seems like we just got back from April Vacation. That visit to the Alpaca Farm was about as amazing as anything I have done here at Apple Tree After School. Be sure to see the photos that Sabrina has to share! Hope you are all well and ready to catch up!

We had our first unannounced Rec. Path Ramble yesteday and we managed to dodge some rain and challenge some rain thanks to parents packing raincoats in backpacks. THANK YOU. So, let’s announce it; we will continue Rec Path Ramble on Wednesdays. We like to “Walk and Roll ” on the Rec. Path, so parents are welcome to drop off bikes and scooters and anything that rolls at the bike racks near the library.

Although we will probably continue to need those rain coats (and rain pants too if you have them), going forward we will also need sunscreen, sun hats, and hopefully water shoes soon. Students must have a water bottle each day. It is a licensing requirement that children have access to water when we are outside. Please reach out if you need assistance getting your child a water bottle to use for after school. We will continue to visit Sunset Rock and explore the woods over big chair hill, so please double down on tic checks even if we have already done one at Afterschool. One family has found two tics already.

Please join us for Offsite Mountain Biking on MONDAYS. Register Here

Schedule:
Mondays – Mountain Biking
Tuesdays – Stream Discovery
Wednesdays – Rec Path Ramble
Thursdays – Hillside Forts
Fridays – Cook-out picnic
This schedule is a fall back and is NOT set in stone. We will continue to flex around weather and new ideas, so don’t hesitate to check in with us to find out where we really are that day.

The last days of school have been updated. We are offering full days for Kindergarteners that end school on 6/13. We will spend the morning offsite and join afterschool at end of day dismissal. Friday 6/14 we will Walk & Roll the Rec. Path. Monday, 6/17 we will visit Playground 2,000! There is also a half day registration for the last day of school on June 18th. Please register online and join the waitlist if it is full.

Summer camp registration is live with many openings still available onsite at Apple Tree. Log in to your account on the website and choose “Sign up for Classes” to register.

Thanks again for your ongoing efforts to send your children to afterschool so well prepared. We really appreciate it, and it makes the options for our activities so much more broad and more rich
