We are well underway. October is ON. Fall is upon us, and we are outside enjoying the change. Our rec path rambles on Thursdays have witnessed glorious colors and dumping falling leaves. But the weather is turning. The days of hats and gloves have arrived. Please be sure to send your child with a healthy snack, water bottle and extra layers every day.

Thanks for letting us know directly when you have a change of plans for Afterschool. Families have been contacting us and meeting us in a variety of locations to pick up early. We so appreciate this flexibility and support that makes it possible for us to head out further and have more fun. Email works in advance, and texting is great as the moment gets closer.

Don’t miss our Vacation Discovery Days!
Last week we had a great exploration of the Corn Maze in Stowe and a recreation trail behind MES, and before that we had a spectacular hike up Mount Elmore!
For the Half Day Discovery On Friday, 10/27 we are excited to “Camp and Cook” in our own backyard over big chair hill. On the full day on Friday 11/10 we will be heading to Petra Cliffs!

Register for Vacation Discovery  HERE

Please note that you are billed the afterschool rate for vacation dates that fall on your contracted days whether you attend or not. If you choose to attend the full day please register online first. Full day rate is $74 and half day is $54.  These include all activity fees.

Onsite Biking
Thanks for bringing bikes, scooters, etc. and helmets for our Rec. Path Ramble on Thursdays. Park bikes at bike rack near the library. We intend to contimue as the weather gets cooler. Gloves are already a good idea, and winter hats under helmets will be needed soon.

After School Curriculum
After school students will have a variety of activities and outdoor discovery to choose from. Some activities may be scheduled and others will be based on student interest.  These activities will change several times throughout the year. We enjoy our snack as a whole group each day and then transition to outings, games, activities or projects.
